Testimonials
1) "After 36 years of total devotion to my husband I
am now almost 60 years old, tired, distraught, abandoned
woman. I am broke, but found your building self-esteem
home study tapes from 1986. I am so thankful and am
on the road to recovery. I was suicidal and now want
to live. Listening to you don't give up tape...I know
I will have it memorized by the end of this day. THANK
YOU."
2) "I am trying to find the "real" or email
address of Mr. Larsen. He knew my late wife, as a former
student at Rock high school. Eileen passed away recently
and Mr. Larsen was still, to her dying day, a great
influence on her."
3) "Hi Earnie! Your site is fantastic and message you
are sharing with others is irreplaceable. I have been
in recovery and sober for over 20 years now...Miracles
do happen!"
4) "Dear Earnie, In 1995 my wife of 30 years suddenly
left home without warning and never returned. She remains
single and lives with one of our sons. My brother, a
prison chaplain in New Mexico, sent me a copy of your
tapes; "Adult Children of Alcoholics" which
began the turning point in my life. My own childhood
was plagued by missionary parents with a dominating
and highly critical mother. I often contemplated suicide.
There was a brief homosexual encounter by one of the
founding pastors. After 8 years of counseling, re-listening
to your tapes and a lot of prayer, I was able to confront
my mother who had moved in with me upon her retirement
at age 88. God gave me the grace to help her find reconcilliation
with our estranged family and our family is now enjoying
a unity we had lost years ago. God has given me a wonderful,
emotionally healthy wife who at nearly 5 years of marriage
is the greatest blessing I could ever imagine. I have
used your teaching during the 5 years my wife and I
have led the DivorceCARE ministry at our church and
share your helpful thoughts often. My wife asked me
to look you up on the internet as we were talking again
tonight about how helpful your tapes were to my own
recovery. You made the Scriptural truth; "...as a man thinketh
in his heart so is he" a practical step by step
process of change. "If nothing changes...nothing
changes" "What you live with you learn..."
I hope these truths never leave my memory. Thank you,
Mr. Larson for taking the time to help me get my life
on track for the first time at age 50. With deep gratitude,
Richard"
