A case could be made that everyone is in recovery from
something. It can further be said that we, all of us,
are either in recovery or we are in denial. All the
products and services on CHANGE IS A CHOICE deal with
recovery. Some of our products and services however
deal more specifically with recovery from alcohol and
drugs addiction.
Over the past forty years we’ve found it helpful
to divide this recovery into stages. Stage 1 deals with
arresting an addiction or finding stability after a
crises has passed. In Stage 1 all one’s energy
is spent in achieving that sobriety and stability.
Stage II deals with life after addiction. After the
addiction has been arrested or the crises survived comes
the need to find a way to deal with life on life’s
terms. If Stage II work is avoided or not given enough
attention relapse back into an addicted state often
results with all the loss, damage, disaster and sorrow
relapse always causes.
